Looking for guidance from anyone who has successfully transitioned into a new career field. I have a degree in HR, certifications, and I’m pursuing my MBA with a concentration in HR. My background includes operations, logistics, military service, and administration, but breaking into HR has been challenging. I recently moved to the US, and it feels like there's no future for me here. I applied to numerous jobs, but I am having difficulty getting my CV seen. People keep telling me that I won't have much luck as a fresh grad here without any references because I didn't study in the US.

Technically, I'm not a college student anymore because I just graduated in December. I am having trouble finding jobs within my field (Communications with little experience in marketing). I've gotten plenty of interviews, but none of them have made it past the first formal interview (phone screening then interview). Any advice?

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?
