I feel like people are giving you recos for tabletop photographers, not directors.

You’ll want to reach out to free society - they are number one for table top and rep the best directors for it.

Then other places have table top directors, but it’s not their only thing.

Food specifically, I’ve done stuff with Frank Content, Impossible Studios, The Deli, Alfredo Films, Circle Productions, Untitled - I’m sure other places have other directors; that’s just off the top of my head.

And then freelance wise, most people’s first call for food/tabletop is Eric Yealland. Depending on the product, also Chris Muir (Pepsi) and then Etienne Proloux is unreal, but he only wants to DP now, not direct, but you could ask him if he has a director he wants to work with haha.
