Samsung duel front loader, within 3-5 yrs old. Absolutely great for load size and efficiency. Quick setting that clean cloths as well as long durations. Eco drying taking much dry time off and guess work. I have 3 kids and many spills. Wide range of quick pre rinse with excellent debris clearing leaving little need to double check for residual debris. What little may skim by, the dryer takes care of with an excellent suction and filtration system. Keep your washers rubber seal ring wiped off with some none bleach or corrosive degreasers. Keeps away potential mildew buildup and smell that can come from large usage days and for example Week before next use. If washing mildewed towels. Pre rinse take away need to wipe ring or double wash for extreme mildew. The option for long clean cycle are un necessary. They run for hours and are far less efficient than taking a strong degrees spray (none corrosive). Spray down the inside of bowl, including seal ring liberally. Let sit for 5 mins. The simply run a rinse and spin cycle. Which takes about 19 mins. 25 min and more efficient vs overpriced cleaning pods and 4 hour electric bill cutting solutions. The main goal of these cleaning cycle are to free residue and excess bull up of clumped detergent. Usually built up in crevices of raised arms that rotate laundry, front and back rings and under over lapped rubber seal. Just a little money saving tip to keep your wash working it’s best and keeping your cloths free of any loosens residue that may become freed during long turn use without cleaning. Especially if you use warm and hot cycle every once in a while after many cool cycles. This is a potential issue with ANY washer over a period of time. None are immune to build up every now and again. We’ve all had that piece of clothing that seems to magically obtain a tiny spot on. They usual look like a bit of olive oil was spilt on it colorless without scent. And once dried and found on it, will never fully be able to be removed from it no matter how long you pre spray and pre soak. No matter what color the garment. You will always be able to see the slightly darker spot making it look like permanent wet spot! Degreaser, cut the residue, rinse keep your cloths spot free. Bonus of degreaser is that it also clears up draining system of the same issue. So your loads will come out much dryer after the spin cycle. Cutting back dry time. Keeps the life of your washer longer too. Making the strain from heavy spin cycles quicker. Just a little trick to save ton of money over time. Starting with the electric bill. 😁👍
We got our Samsung set through Home Depot a few months ago. They were on sale for half off. We really like them. Due to the restrictions of our electric we had to go with a gas dryer which limited our options. Our set has the sensor dry and the high efficiency washer ability.
They are front loading. I was told front loading are more energy and water efficient and are gentler on clothes but they do have a molding problem so just don’t close the washer door between uses and be vigilant about cleaning them.
You can also check scratch and dent sections at Lowe’s or Home Depot often times you can get good deal there.
Oh yeah I’ve heard about that as well!
When my husband and I went to go buy a washer/dryer the associate at Lowe’s told us that most washers and dryers will last about 7 years before having issues - then recommended we just get the cheapest ones that had the features we wanted (I wanted a top loading washer without the spinning thing in the middle so I could wash our king size bedding). We don’t have any bells and whistles but haven’t had any issues in the past 4 years! Spent about $600 total - we bought around Memorial Day to get additional discounts.
Was it GE by chance? Like their more basic model? I’ve looked at that one plus Maytag more basic ones between 600-700 and I’m really stuck between them
Bosch is the way to go
