Looking for some advice. I was laid off from my last job a few months ago, I have been applying and so far little to no luck. My question is, when do I reach out to the company I sent my CV to that I recently applied for X position and express my interest? If at all?

I have a friend from another country coming to visit the US, they are working to get their tourist visa and have their interview scheduled. My friend is asking for a copy of my id for the interview. Is this normal, or an immediate red flag?

I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Then it a 3rd one was scheduled three times (the manager didn't connect to the first 2) and next week I have the last interview with 1 partner. Is the timing normal? Or were they looking for other candidates or what?

I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

Feeling down. I've interviewed for probably 12 positions (mostly Senior Manager level), and always getting rejected. Is this normal? I do try and ask for feedback, and sometimes they give saying that there just isn't the right fit for your skillset at this time. If so, then why did you interview me? #frustrated

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. Or is it better to have "projects highlights" separate from work experience.. something like: intro>functional expertise> project highlights>work experience>education?

I keep starting huge projects or hobbies and being intensely into it for about 10 days/2 weeks, after which I forget about it and the project just lays around my house for months until I get interested in it again or I toss it out/donate it.
