I'm looking for a change and want to get into a DS role. I have 1.8 years of experience at a fortune 50 retailer and I am currently a senior analyst. I also have PGDM in finance, and my skills include SQL, python, PowerBI, tableau, familiar with Knime, Alteryx and also PySpark. I have done a DL project (CNN) in my master's dissertation and also have done projects with Regression too. I've been applying to companies via LinkedIn but not receiving any call back. I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

My husband quit his very well-paying job in February to become a freelancer. I was fully supportive of this move because he was miserable at his job. Has anyone tried to enforce a European non-compete/non-solicit (both foreign choice of law and venue) in the US? The employee moved with the company to the US 7 years ago and was never provided with an updated agreement. Assume for the sake of argument that the agreement is enforceable in the country of origin.

I’ve been working to an unhealthy degree lately. And I’ve been making the excuse that I have a lot of work right now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m addicted to it. Part of it is anxiety and perfectionism. But my behavior is now actively harmful to myself and starting to harm my marriage.

How do I stop? I’m not talking work-life balance. I mean, how do I say, “I don’t care that the client wants this tomorrow and I’m not close to done, I’m going to sleep tonight”?
