Is it crazy to leave my job at EY to take a lower paying position in industry? I'm a recently promoted tax manager making about 140k. I've been considering going to industry for a while, gotten a couple offers, but they're all pretty low (<$120k). Honestly, the $20k difference isn't that much, but I've also been considering taking job that pay maybe $90k and doing work on the side (my own "firm"). But it also feels strange to accept such a lower salary. Thoughts?

How do you create meaningful IEPs for families while meeting federal and state requirements?

I joined pwc last month, and absolutely hating it here. Each weekend has been working, 12-15 hours work day is minimum expectation. And there's extreme hierarchy, where even after you spend 24 hours working on something, the director decides he wants something completely different and you delete and restart. (Note that you request them to review and give their pov earlier on, but they never take the time out)

I ran into his new boss socially and told them I was really impressed with how this guy was handling the drug bust and battling his heroine addiction during this career change. It shows real grit. That’s what wishing the best for others looks like.
