I am a 2022 MBA graduate working at Deloitte as a consultant. I am a part of their internal strategy team (non client facing role). I have a prior workex as a software developer and I am looking to make a move to Product Management.

I want to understand few things
1. How difficult is it to move to a PM role with no workex?
2. I am getting paid decently here, does PM jobs also pay highly (I am expecting a CTC of ~25-27LPA)
3. How to prepare for the interviews?

Controversial question - what are some roles/functions to avoid at Google for ex-management consultants, in terms of potential under-utilization of skills and limited career progression? Common exit opps tend to be in StratOps, PMM, PgM/Solutions Consultant, roles in Sales; would anyone not recommend any of these roles?

Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.
