Discipline. Like brushing your teeth. All you have to do is show up. Walk in the front door. You can decide to do nothing once you get there, but show up. Once you start showing up, you'll probably decide to get on with working out. But motivation has nothing to do with it.
I think we’re just getting into semantics at this point. My overall point is that telling OP “just do it” isn’t helpful. There is clearly a psychological component beyond getting yourself to the gym. I wish you the best in your fitness journey and beyond :)
Checking in with a friend helped me! If we don’t workout together that day we’ll check in via text to make sure we’re on track with our goals. I also set new goals every month. They’re not always workout related - sometimes water, stretching, or sleep. They’re small, achievable goals and doing them for only one month helps me build healthier habits overall. Hope this helps!
