Looking to help a friend find an entry-level tax opportunity (remote or in the Chicago area). She graduated with her bachelor's degree (3.4 GPA), completed her 150 credit hours, and interned at PwC, where she accepted a full-time offer.

Before her start date, she stepped away to care for her brother during his battle with cancer and is now ready to begin her career after his unfortunate passing.

She is incredibly hardworking, smart, kind, and dependable. She worked full time throughout college while earning her degree and supporting her family during a very difficult time. I know she would be a great addition to any team.

If your firm is hiring or knows of any openings, I'd greatly appreciate a referral or lead. Thank you!

Can she reach out to her team (partner she worked with/recruited with; HR) at PwC again? I know there are hiring freezes but given she had an offer there that she didn’t accept only due to dire circumstances I feel like they’d hire her again if she built good relationships. She has a compelling story.

If she was an intern, was given an offer; have her reach out to them she does have extenuating circumstances.

Anyone else in “I’ll do my job description and nothing more” mode? I’ve gone above and beyond for my company for a while, and all I got was my quarterly bonuses and remote work taken away without explanation. Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?

Ok, I’m preaching to the choir here, but I’m a mid-level lateral, and I get most of my work now from an absolutely toxic partner that I am basically assigned to (firm is very siloed and partner doesn’t like sharing associates). But the learned helplessness also means that I procrastinate—like right now! Send help!
