Looking to move to little Italy and my top two choices for buildings are the current and broadstone. Has anyone heard good/bad things about either of these places? Also I want to be in a building that offers fun resident events and where it actually feels like a ~community~ and idk which one would offer that more

Have you checked out Luma? They do community events and it’s super nice. I know nothing about Current, but Broadstone is nice for sure

I heard good things about Broadstone. Good location and decent management. My only concern is parking if you have more than one car.

Broadstone is super nice, I would definitely recommend it

I have a friend who lives in Broadstone and I can confirm, it is a really great place. I think you would be really happy there.

Heard some good stuff about Broadstone. Also been there a couple of times because a friend lives there. From the reception to the unit, everything felt so homey. Staff were very welcoming! Going there is always a pleasant experience.

Okay this is all very comforting to hear especially because I decided to sign a lease there! Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! I was hoping to receive some advice with how to transition to product management. I'm currently a senior medical secretary, 2 years of experience, at a well know hospital with a BA in psych and econ and a certificate in PM (thought I would at least get that since my job pays for it). I've been applying for PM or APM roles since March 2022 at various hospitals and healthcare companies but I've yet to get a shot at a 1st interview. Any ideas on how to improve my odds?

Is it worth negotiating….
I was given an verbal offer yesterday for a great job as an account manager for a new company. The verbal salary offer came in 2k short of what I told them my minimum salary requirements would be. The job has great perks and to be honest I still may take the offer if they reject my counter.

The other thing is how much more should I ask for? Hypothetically if I wanted 50k and they offered me 48k, how much should I ask for in the counter, I was thinking maybe 5k more

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.
