Looking to switch firms for better long-term prospects. I’m pretty sure I know the answer, but given a choice which would be the better option: 1) just patent pros with good work life balance; or 2) opportunity to have a mixed docket (pros/lit) but probably a more challenging environment? I’m starting to worry about prosecution for earning potential and job security.

Pick what you like doing. Both patent prosecution and litigation have their own challenges.

I’m switching from 2) to 1) soon. Imagine you’re in your 70s, would you regret your choice today? That’s how I usually make important decisions.

A mixed docket is incredibly challenging but if it's your only way to lit experience I'd take it on if I were you.

Hi all 👋 does anyone have any recommendations for career switchers trying to land entry-level digital marketing or social media coordinator roles?

The biggest challenge I’m finding right now is that I don’t have many of the hard skills required (photoshop, illustrator, Google analytics) 📊📈.

I would really prefer a smaller marketing agency where I can wear many hats and learn the ropes from scratch. Thanks in advance 😁

Hi guys, an extension on my previous post. Which company should I prefer:

CitiusTech - 25 LPA- 2 days WFO in my hometown

R Systems - 28 LPA - Remote

YOE - 6.5 years

Looking for stability, decent WLB and good growth opportunity. Difference of 1-2 lacs doesn't matter too much.

These are the final options I have. No more interviews/offers lines up.

Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.

Additional Posts in Patent Litigation

Billables as a mid-level IP litigation associate at Big Law, AM100, and AM200 firms? I’m currently doing 60% patent prosecution, 40% litigation at a mid-sized IP boutique and am considering lateraling for a patent litigation position, but I’m concerned about work life balance, especially since my SO and I are expecting. I currently have a 1900 target, and I routinely bill about 2000. I’m interviewing at DLA, Saul Ewing, Honigman, and Fox Rothschild (all DC offices).
