Looking to transition from industry to consulting as a consultant. 2 years supply chain experience. What would salary be for DC area?

Experienced folks, why do you prefer working in consulting over tech? Isn't the payout much more in the long run? Consulting salaries seems much lower than all in comp for tech if you look at the life time income. I know money doesnt motivate everyone but if money motivates you, why consulting over tech?

The company I work for is going through being acquired by a mid size company. They would like to change our pay structure. Currently on a $40k draw before collecting any commissions with no cap. They are looking to move us to a salary and bonus structure. We handle leasing for commercial real estate, specifically retail. How should I calculate what salary and full comp number I should be making? We’re based outside of Washington DC. What are typical retail leasing agents making on a salary?

Any single people on £50 - £60k managed to purchase a property? Where did you look, what price range, did you use a scheme (htb, shared ownership etc.)? Social anxiety was so bad that I left consulting

Liked a community and zeroed in on a lot. The community has fully operational amenities and fully constructed houses. Now, they are pre-selling phase 3 which is pending permission from the county (plats). Deposit is fully refundable if I don’t like the designs or if they don’t get the permit.

I am okay with their timeline (15 months) but looking to understand the downside of entering into a contract when permission is still pending, if any.

Fam, I’ve been working almost exclusively with PE investors, bankers and entrepreneurs and maybe have gotten too used to the lightning pace of information flown. Gently pushed an Industry client to get information (wrote templates for them to fill out, tried to set up review call, etc). Seems like I sparked some kind of issue in the C-suite. Have a touchpoint meeting today where they’re likely to kick my ass 😂😄😂 What do I do to survive and thrive?
