VML struggles to find an identity with the many mergers. they still dont have titles figured out. Pay scales are all equally over the place. stock options can rarely be exercised due to poor performance. you be joining when 4 day RTO is being pushed with zero processes in place to ensure success.
that said, it all depends on your team/account. Push for a strong salary and more time off.
Quick update for all who contributed - I turned it down, WPP as a whole makes me nervous and I felt like they were trying to sell me a lemon … I will hang back at Publicis for now
Dentsu and WPP are a complete no-go for me at this point. I would rather enlist than go back to WPP lol
Culture varies between every team, I’ve worked with my favorite and least favorite humans since being here. You can get hired into an amazing team and switch to another toxic af team. If you don’t feel good about what you have seen so far, I wouldn’t recommend. Morale is very low,

I’m not at VML but as a person in a WPP company, I don’t recommend

Some teams/offices are amazing and worth the heartache of WPP corporate being a cluster.
There are a few folks in client ops who are actual good people. If you didn’t get a chance to in the interviews, you’re well high enough level to ask for more information about the teams, personalities, etc. before you make a decision.
I’m not at VML but am at a WPP company, personally I really love it but that’s probably bc I was at Edelman beforehand so the only way was up
They have zero culture. It’s as faceless and nameless of an agency that has ever existed. Run by bean counters and crap account people. You’ll be fine as long as you’re not headed to the ATL office. They are struggling hard financially. They claim one P&L but corporate has a good knowledge of how good or bad offices are doing.
It’s simple. That’s another non win for VMLATL. It’s a separate unit called Thompson. They have their own P&L. They have their own structure and share nothing other than office space and backend services with VML. They report to WPP not VML.
