Lots of insurance companies go big with Superbowl ads. Come back here later to share your favorites! And do you think the brand portrayed in the ads reflect what it's like to work there?

I swear I'm the only person who doesn't care about Super Bowl commercials. Or the halftime show, for that matter. I mute all of it. But to answer your question, no. No company portrays itself honestly in its advertising. That's kind of why the entire field exists. To make them look better than they actually are.

Oh, I don't think you're the only one. But I agree, advertising is aspirational at best and deceptive at worst.

I have an old 2006 Camry that I am eventually looking to replace (it is currently worth 2k). Have always wanted to learn about cars and how to do stuff with it and would like to use this car as an opportunity to pick up a hobby. What resources can anyone suggest (books / videos etc) where I can do car-related stuff, from the simple to hopefully more complicated as I get better. Thanks

Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. It's one of the nicest complexes in the city, has close proximity to Uptown, and has excellent amenities (e.g. CrossFit style gym, two pools, dog park, on site complimentary cafe, etc.). My unit has an ideal layout for work from home and a huge patio.

Edit: $3,196/mo including valet trash pickup ($35) and pest control ($4)

I have accepted my sexuality and found peace with the long battle of wanting to be something not what I actually am. On one side I have a lot of pressure around me being gay and trying to get a PR and get out of India, on another side I have a lot financial issues. I’m trying so hard to focus on work and to meet the expected bar for my current role. But the office politics here is toxic and always putting me down. Just wondering whether things will get better ever.
