Lots of jobs are getting more automated and it definitely makes logistics more efficient, but sometimes I miss just working in the warehouse...

Hey, the same thing happens to me as to you, that handiwork makes us young and we are always in action, I miss it a lot.

I believe that the advance was necessary to increase the efficiency of logistics, delivery times allow the work traffic to be greater, therefore more money.

Many things have changed in the supply chain, innovations and new strategies have allowed the supply chain to catapult to the modernization and automation of processes.

Everything that can be automated should be automated, but I do not think that the warehouse part should not change a lot, it is always necessary to take into account that human attention is necessary for the care of the products.

One of the things that have no room for automation is the procurement sector, the others can be automated and lessen the amount of attention needed.

so what's stopping you from going back to the warehouse if you miss it so much?

I've sometime felt the same way following a promotion. I used to miss the sense of camaraderie that came from being part of the crew, things like complaning about our boss and dumb policies. Now I know i'm the one on the other end of that but such is life I guess

I miss my old life at times as well, but the only thing we really have in life is this moment right now. You've made your choices, and you can either live with them or do something to change your situation. What will it be for you?

Automation can be a cruel mistress, but none of us can do anything to stop her. Best we can do is adapt our skillset and be ready to handle the challenges of the future

Was trucking my load across statelines, as one usually does. Turns out the new guy sitting next to me was never properly trained on how to secure said load inside the truck. Now we're trying to put everything back in it's place and it's so annoying. I don't blame him but still.
