Love how our govt and media reports on this kind of thing as "wage growth". Annual pay increases are not enough to keep up with things like inflation and areas of skyrocketing costs such as childcare, but we're all expected to treat 3% to 4% annual wage increases as real "growth"

Corporate propaganda
I mean . . . it’s more than current inflation, so therefore it’s growth
Services are literally a component of CPI
Is anyone surprised this is from CNN? They have an agenda to coincide with, it’s no secret. ABC will put something out to exemplify this too.
The transfer of wealth and erosion of wages/real earnings has taken place under both Republican and Democrat led eras of government. Republican led eras have arguably been far worse, as they have been enamored of the idea of trickle down economics since the Reagan era, which has been proven to not work. The real underlying issue is the amount of corp and billionaire class $$ in politics for both parties, it prevents the kind of meaningful reforms to course correct on this topic. I can guarantee that whichever media outlet you trust or favor, once "their" party is in power again, they won't be beating the drum over inflation and the erosion of true wage growth. All major media outlets are complicit. The only reason Fox News talks about inflation is because a Dem is President. If the shoe was on the other foot, they would be (and have) spinning the same story as this example Ive shared. The real issue is the accelerating collapse of the middle class and increasing inability to have a moderate, stable life as a salaried employee. And that didn't just happen in the last 3 years, it's the culmination of decades of corp interests essentially writing and passing laws in this country for their own interests, which the politicians they pay for supporting as they are told too. We need really meaningful campaign finance reforms and to get outside money/lobbyists out of our representational democracy. "Outrage" over this media outlet vs that one is exactly what monied interests want - ppl arguing over stuff that doesn't really matter, big picture wise
Vote accordingly!
