Love waking up to this trash take in my feed.

Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?
Hi folks,

Project Management is the most thankless job (more so than Accounts IMO). The best PMs you don’t notice til they’re gone.
Nah. I always notice good PMs.
Pro
I hope you get to experience a good PM or Producer some day. Just like I hope to experience a good Art Director some day.
Lol. PMs are the only ones who know what’s going on. Account over here quadruple booking meetings without even glancing at calendars. Also, frequently the only ones with compassion.
Lol as a PM I’ll just say, try functioning for a week without PMs and see what happens

INCM1 yes, a good PM/Producer is the glue that keeps everyone together, you’re exactly right
Love my PMs ❤️❤️ literally save us from killing ourselves if it were up to clients and account teams sometimes
Project Management = More Overhead = Higher Billings.
Once upon a time this bureaucratic layer didn’t exist. It was on AEs, traffic managers and account management to set timelines, schedule meetings, etc. While there is arguably a need for project management when it comes to highly complex projects with lots of moving parts, it seems like digital producers do a far better job at it as they have skill sets and understanding that relates to the actual deliverables.
The good news is that project management as it’s typically practiced in creative service companies will soon be replaced by AI software and automation, using inputs such as budget, timeline, scope, resources, a deliverables.

Yep, everyone’s a designer now. Drag and drop. But that makes good creative more rare and significant imho.
Similarly, sure there are dozens of colourful easy to use versions of MS Project. But you probably need someone who’s really great at their job.
Literally had my PM save me from burnout the last 2 weeks since my partner and I are on 5 different projects

People who don’t value PM’s are cursed, practically speaking
My agency doesn't have PMs and I want to die every day. They are ESSENTIAL.
I work with an outstanding PM
Project Managers are only as effective as an agency allows them to be. Simple as that.
A guess is who you’re working for isn’t investing in their PM’s and perhaps even many are FT contractors or people who knew people and got in. Then no one set them up for success with onboarding and expectations plus good management. PM’s come in all shapes and sizes. A misperception I’ve seen non-PM’s have (not that this is you per se) is that a PM will have all the answers and shouldn’t need any training etc. reality is not all project management is alike but it is ALL transferable experience IF a company is clear on how their workflows work. If it’s establishing a new workflow then it’s a complete collaboration between all stakeholders and the PM. I’ve witnessed the worst treatment of PM’s by um…. Everyone. That only gets a bad outcome by breaking their motivation and esteem. So I’m advocating for the many, many brilliant PM’s and Producers and coordinators - jr. & sr. If someone is performing poorly it’s more than that one someone, after all you hired them for a reason, it’s the team dynamic, the training and especially the management.
I can count on one hand the PMs that actually made a difference. Most of my projects I PM them myself.
I saw this too. So RUDE.
