Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Do I send a Thank You email to the recruiter?

All deal tech interviews are at the discretion of the interviewer so most end up being behavioral with some hypotheticals client situations (if it’s the interviewers preference)… I would definitely come prepared with questions that you have and some of the narrative of why this is a good fit because almost every interviewer will be looking for that. I would also be prepared to be transparent/articulate where you are deep technically- they’ll want to pressure test that. - signed a SD in DT at EYP (good luck!)
Definitely be transparent OP. Ask plenty of questions to ensure the right fit. You don’t want to come in and hate it. Nothing against DD (I do it), but isn’t for everyone. If you already know what to expect and are cool with it, sweet! We would love a hard worker with a great attitude!
Do you actually want Cyber Due Diligence work or are you a more technical cyber person? You won’t get a lot of hands-on technical cyber experience with EYP
Actually we’re planning to change that up. We definitely plan on delivering more technical work along with strategy and DD. No limitations.
Good luck to you OP!
Experience in fast paced environments, how to deal with ambiguity, annoying clients are the types of stories you should prepare. Good luck!
