My 2nd round of interview for AWM VP position got cancelled with #JPMC at the end minute. HR said the position is put on hold by Business.. any similar experiences? Anytime HR came back with interview schedule later in such cases?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

I have approx 2.5 yrs of workex and am interested in roles like FP&A, Financial Modelling, portfolio/risk management, valuations, or fixed income. Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

I'm having trouble. I have a client who is going from a climbing company, to a fitness company. They have a product that lets them expand from where they are. I am failing to sell them on the importance of strategy and taking a step back. Honestly, I don't even know that I'm sold on it. But I feel like it's important. Never understood or appreciated the value of managing up until very recently. I wish this was a skill I learned from day one. If you learn nothing else in consulting, this one skill is key!

Like most consulting firms, we have a shutdown from “December 24th - January 1st”. But we also have an “unlimited PTO” policy.

I started end of July this year, and reached out to my engagement manager and told him that I’m planning on traveling and will be OOO starting December 13th instead of the 24th.

He said this is too much and that he can’t guarantee what the workload will be like.

Am I being unreasonable by taking an additional 9 days off?
