I don’t know a single high performer that aligns with this list. This looks like what a self-proclaimed high performing LI influencer would say they do, or someone who has to dedicate their whole life to being a high performer.
Most high performing people I know are naturally sharp, have an incredible work ethic, and have gotten lucky with opportunities, so they are not disillusioned with continuing to put in the time.
Who makes these lists?!?!
To grow in any field, you need to engage with the world, explore and try new things. How else do you learn and grow and continue to add value to yourself and life let alone your profession.
Maybe this list works for some high performers, but I think it would have to depend on your field.
For creative and strategy fields, I think exposure to social media is especially important, as well as breaking routine and experiencing + witnessing different ways of doing things. Living in a boring bubble is probably the worst thing you could do for creative & strategy - it limits it and stifles it.
Don’t base your assumptions on lists and posts. Get to know high performers past a surface level acquaintance and you discover the biggest difference comes down to decision making, unique talents, and efficiency.
How are low performers exciting?
This feels overly simplistic.

Yeah I definitely think this depends on the person. Personally, I strive with routine but wouldn’t consider myself a high performer… more of a “meets expectations” lol
I mean, this just seems like good advice. Get 10k steps per day. Get a good nights sleep. Strength train. Eat healthier meals at home more often than spending money going out. Limit your social media. Read books, it allows you to borrow someone else’s brain. Not seeing the issue.
Sounds like you’ve worked in the wrong agencies.
