Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

The most I see for a realistically attainable roles that are explicitly "Salesforce jobs" comes from Director/Sr. Director in ProServ at the mothership. Anything higher, you're talking PPMD-type roles at a consulting firms or software engineering roles at Bay-area tech companies, neither of which are explicitly "Salesforce". CTA's have a few options to earn that kind of money, too, but they are mostly unique roles.
You mean Benioff's salary? 🤣
Pretty sure the senior leaders probably all take in 7-figures annually. If you can get into SF and know what you’re doing there’s a lot of customers to help and money to be made.
^ as Sr. Director was making $286,500 + guaranteed 25% bonus and $400K+ RSU that gets refreshed almost every year
