I was once asked what my favorite flavor of icecream was. I have no idea what they were trying to gauge from that. Still don't know to this day.
What did you say, and did you get the job?
Not a curveball question, but it is typically difficult for me to answer questions regarding how I have displayed leadership within my company. I have yet to have a legitimate leadership role , so I end up grasping at straws.
"Every CV has one lie in it. What's yours?" definitely threw me off.
In my opinion this question is to filter out who lies and don’t lie. They have no proof that every CV has one lie in it. If you did lie then you may feel guilty and admit to it, but if you didn’t, then all you have to say is you didn’t.

What kind of tree would you be?
An Aspen tree because I am great at building relationships and creating a strong network "root system" of internal and external folks that establish a strong foundation and help contribute to the company's success. And people with my skills are rare and can't be found many places.
"How can we help you do your best work?"
"How do you give feedback to others?" (Never thought about the HOW ... It just comes...?)
"When was the last time you had a difficult time working with developers?"
"If I spoke with your family and friends, how would they describe you?" (With the lack of interaction and amount of imposter syndrome the past 3 years...how do you even answer this?)
Do you love to win or hate to lose? There is a correct answer!
The answer my company was looking for when I interviewed was "Hate to lose". Luckily, that is what I said. Winning is great but losing is the worst!
