Moving from an implementation role with 3 YOE to M&A at another firm; significant pay increase but lateral title (SC). M&A group does not have campus hires so am I right to think this is still upward?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles.
