One of the things that my ADD coach helped me with was realizing that I wasn’t prioritizing activities that help me feel recharged. Between work and home responsibilities, I was just burnt out and overwhelmed.

So now when I start to get burned out I focus on reducing auditory overwhelm, getting outside, listen to music, get comfortable, read a fun book, etc.

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I went from a tier 1 engineer in managed servers to team lead with about a 10k increase in salary.I’m thinking about a 15k increase this time from 65k to 80k. HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
