Can you still make money off of crypto?
Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

Sometimes binaural beats apps help me focus. I’m on Apple so I use Brainwave apps, but I’d be surprised if Android didn’t have at least one app for this. It also helps me sleep and wake up at predetermined times.
Also, depending on how far along you are, how big the firm (50 at your location, all employees), how long you’ve been at your firm at least a year), and how much you need by way of accommodations, you may be eligible for intermittent FMLA leave. You can talk with HR rep about the possibility. Your doctor would have to certify the need, but I don’t imagine that would be an issue. They can require you to take PTO concurrently until it’s used up, but you might be able to get shorter workdays or one day off a week. You wouldn’t lose any benefits and your full-time status wouldn’t change. That may be something to look into.
Sorry to hear you are struggling to keep up with work. I have had limited success with neorythm devices. It helps me focus a little bit more. Cannot say it’s a big improvement but even a little helps.
There is also a monarch device that is FDA approved for kids that may be worth trying. You will probably have to pay $2k out of pocket. May just be something worth trying.
I wish I had other suggestions or accommodations. Sending positive vibes your way! You will get through this.
Also try a non-stimulant like the ones used for narcolepsy. It works well for some of us. Modafinil. Modafinil was what got me through law school. My doctor was great and has supported me through the years.
There is also memantine which I have been prescribed because I am terrible with executive function. This drug does take getting used to for some people and can cause brain fog for the first few weeks.
That’s all I can think of for now.
Behavioral hacks will come in handy when you’re unable to get your goblin brain to do anything (momentum is key!)
I like to say “let’s procrastinate and do it later, but just so we don’t get fired let’s figure out who needs to be sent what, and set up iCal’s so we know when the latest we need to do it is.” Once I have the information in front of me, my goblin says, “just send it out now, it’ll be less work.”
I also structure my work day to put the “fun” things (that I know I will do without prodding) for those times of day where I’m typically low energy.
Also, stay away from email alerts. It’ll steal your focus and prevent you getting into any flow. (Check email at set designated times instead).
