I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and just started medication treatment, and I didn’t realize something was missing this entire time. My brain finally feels so calm!!
Studying for the bar, and my first 2 years of practice exacerbated my symptoms so badly. I couldn’t keep up with the long hours at work! I feel like I have a fighting chance now!

Medication is necessary but not sufficient. Learn more about the condition and you’re triggers. See other posts in this bowl. Welcome to your new life!
I’m a late diagnosis as well—finally medicated ~after~ I passed my bar bc lack of mental health professionals, but it’s night and day isn’t it? Glad you got help! I’m sure you already have healthy coping mechanisms that got you this far, my suggestion is keep up with them…don’t want to get lulled into a sense of confidence just to fall flat on your face by forgetting something!
A1 thank you so much! 🥺 I’m glad you were able to get help as well! Thank you for sharing! It’s nice to know that i’m not alone!
Medication helps. If you’ve made it this far you have other coping mechanisms, don’t abandon them, identify them and bolster them.
SC1 I experienced bad memory wipes after law school finals. I would be in the middle of a story and then suddenly forget the point I was trying to make several times….. I thought that was just a symptom of fatigue from finals, but I guess not!
What medication
Adderall
Do you mind sharing your experience of how you got your diagnosis? I told my doctor that I wanted to get tested but they shut me down and told me there’s no way I could have become a lawyer if I had undiagnosed ADHD

Go to a specialist. Most doctors know very little about adhd.
