I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Please suggest how much can I expect from them? Also how is the hike cycle in Mindtree ? Mindtree
Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

Prepare and start updating your resume and applying. With the merger will come new policies and restructuring that you may not even agree with. So it’s best to just prepare, so you have more control of what happens to you, that will lessen your anxiety.
Yes! They kept me for a year without benefits & PTO. Two weeks before my year they me, my manager, one of my team members go! Now I’m working temp, because I can’t find a job & can’t file unemployment because it was less than a year! Ask questions! But make sure to start looking, but tell no one!!!!!

I have been through merger uncertainty and it is awful. I focused on documenting my value, updating my CV quietly, and controlling what I could while accepting the rest was out of my hands.
I went though a scenario like that a decade ago, I was working for a company that was acquired by another company. No one knew what would happen and there was a lot of anxiety. I kept living in fear of being laid off, and it got to where I was afraid to open my email on Fridays. A lot of people were being let go in various departments for a few months, but for whatever reason I just continued on working for the new entity. I guess the best approach is to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
I have been through this multiple times. Here’s my experience. Anxiety is fear of the future.
1. Why worry about something you have no control over? Just continue to be a great worker, ask others if they need any help/make yourself resourceful, learn new skills/AI tricks and make great connections.
2. Every layoff was temporary. Some 6 weeks, to most recently 2.5 years. Every new job I got paid me a lot more , I made new connections, learned new ATS systems and other technologies, and GREW.
3. God provided somehow, someway, ever…single…time.
4. Last short contract I had with TAG-Ed offers workforce development programs. They partnered with IBM to get 7500+ ppl certified thru their FREE IBM SkillsBuild program. The next cohort starts this Friday (I think they are launching them monthly). You can earn “Stackable Credentials” for free showing you are a constant learner. Here’s the link to sign up https://members.tagonline.org/ap/Events/Register/4lFMyOwHRCMCx
I’m doing the Data and Analytics digital cert and the Cyber Security digital cert as well as the AI foundations. You can get just the digital badge (courses are like 7 hrs) or the full certification (50+hrs).
It will keep you busy focused on the present, adding extra credentials to your profile, share with you managers and talk about areas you might be able to cross trained that might NOT be on the chopping block.
Learn everything you can about the AI tools that will help you be more efficient in daily tasks so you can be more of a strategic business partner in HR in general.
You learn so much about yourself in the valleys as well as in the hills.
5. Network now, apply to other jobs now, but use AI tools like CoPilot or ChatGPT to look as your resume and paste the job you want to apply to and rate it on a scale from 1-100. It will give you score, tell you how your resume aligns well, where there are gaps and how to address them while offering to write the new resume for you. It’s awesome.
You got this! Stay positive. This community has your back! I finally got a 6 month contract that starts this Thursday.
Thank you!!!!
I updated my résumé when I was in your shoes. I started looking, reconnecting with people, talking more to people I was already connected with. At the end of the day, they did me a favor. I found a fantastic job that I love.
