Take them at their word and be grateful to them for doing you a solid. As much as it's not what you want to hear, it's better having some heads up than getting blindsided. I'd get my resume polished up and start applying to everything you can.
They also said that about outsourcing, didn't they? And that never happened. I think artificial intelligence can be a tool to do our jobs, but won't necessarily completely overtake us. Think about it: AI can give you ideas about how to plan a trip, but it could never do the work of booking the tickets, getting the hotels, coordinating rides, drafting itineraries, and then double-checking its own work. There are still a lot of things we need to do that artificial intelligence isn't even close to doing.

I'd love to know how AI will be able to order catering and after hour events for our executives!
