My company just announced that they will stop matching for the 401K until 2021 (sigh). Do you think I should lower my investment percentage to get more liquid assets that I can use for buying an investment property at the end of the year and extra funds available for school as I return for masters? Or is there a better way to get returns?

I’ve recently been promoted and given a few direct reports. I now know their salaries and think they are being under paid. Do I tell them to ask for more money or do I keep it to myself?

I am currently in Wipro having CTC as 7.8 LPA.. I have got an offer from TCS which is 11LPA.However, my Basic Pay/Fixed compensation is getting reduced from my current base pay in the new offer and also the HRA is getting reduced. The HR is telling that the basic is fixed as per policy and they cannot change it. The base pay is less but there are several other components which are higher. Should I take up the new offer? Please help. Will the reduction in base pay impact my career?

I don’t get why even the most reputable financial news still try to attribute market moves to people. It’s not individual investors who are in control of day-to-day moves anymore, it’s algorithms.
