My first day as a legal assistant was Monday. I recently completed a paralegal certificate program and have a Bachelors. The firm has made no effort to train me. All they’ve had me do is watch videos and take notes. I still feel like I have no idea what to do in this job, and when I go to my attorney he’s too busy. What should I do? I’m sitting at my desk like a lazy bum, not doing anything because I have no idea what to do. The other legal assistants won’t show me much either.

What are your thoughts on invoking the rule of sequestration at a deposition in a case in state court? I have heard some attorneys argue that it is inapplicable, while others have argued that it does apply.
