My H1-B visa stamp with PwC is expired but I have a valid I-797from new employer. Can I travel for work to Canada without getting the new H1-B stamping ?

Can you apply for an employer sponsored Greencard right away or before you actually start working for the sponsoring company or is there a minimum timeframe I need to be with the employer? I was offered a job through a contact but can’t move with my current visa. I am contemplating if moving forward makes sense and if I could just negotiate that they apply for a GC first. They have an office too in my home country so could work there temporarily as well if needed.

Is it okay to take couple days off when switching jobs on h1b? Planning to take ~7-10 days off before I join new firm. And also planning to go out of country during that time. Would that be an issue?

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Curious why most (not all) Desi people move to Desi suburbs and don’t live in the city or suburbs close to the city but not desi? My partner and I love being in the city but literally know 2 other couples who live close by. Everyone else is in desi suburbs. Car theft is on rise in my area. I want to put safeguards in my car like gps tracker or anything that's available commercially. I heard phone companies have something that uses their cellphone towers to keep track. Any suggestions on gps trackers or other brand products. I am really worried that due to car shortage and job losses thefts are going to go up.
