… only negative feedback I got on my request for promotion was I hadn’t been at the company long enough (1.5 years at the time). Feedback this year has continued to be overwhelmingly positive. My boss didn’t say outright I was getting promoted or not. My parents think he’s laying the ground work that I won’t be promoted and now I’m getting really bummed. Love my job and want to stay but feel like I’m overdue for promotion, but on the other hand, it’s not a good job market for CRE. What’s your take on his delivery of the year end stuff?
……?
I agree with your parents assessment
I have been promised a “stipend/bonus” last year when I was helping some other locations through a software upgrade. At that time I had access and helped 3 locations to make sure their transition went smoothly as well as maintaining my own location. Months go by and they decide that because I didn’t physically go to the locations that I am not going to get it. And most recently I was asked how I felt about the promotion to PCC2. And through a series of bad luck that never came to fruition ( not my fault) they had PCC’s switch locations so they didn’t need me in that roll. Now I LOVE my job and don’t want to leave but I handle all the overdue balances, intakes, administrative tasks at our location and the person who literally sits there and checks people in was making more money than me until recently. I want to write a letter expressing how I feel but am unsure how to do so professionally. Any ideas?

Very different than my situation but I would go to HR and ask for a salary review if you state allows. Basically would give you intel and maybe would make them realize you’re underpaid. I would do your own post to get more advice because this comment may get lost here.
