Do you think it’s worth it? What’s the long term career trajectory?

I have always wanted to go full time in growth equity - I did a summer there. I am currently 27 and a senior product manager at a pre ipo machine learning startup. I don’t know what to prioritize. I am building a side project now, but have been prepping for growth interviews for the past year. Pretty torn on what to do / opportunity coat

Personally, yes, but of course each to their own! I think you open doors for yourself rather than close them. In my mind you can either stay in GE, move down or up to VC / PE, go into industry if you wish (given you work with so many interesting companies). Feel free to DM if you have more specific questions you want to ask.

Wow thank you so much!

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

Appreciate any advice and insight, thank you.

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?
