Get a second hand car with reliable engine such as 1.3 MJD if you are looking into diesel and not staying in NCR area, else get a petrol car of maruti brand as the spares are quite cheap. But as it is a car for learning purpose so better get a car which is under 2 lacs at max.
I had got a fiat Punto diesel when I started job for only 1.1 lac and till today after 4 yrs of buying it is my daily driver to office and I am not interested in buying any new car.
Who knows you may fall in love with your used car. So give it a try before jumping into buying a new car
Buy a second hand Maruti Swift. Use that to drive for a year and learn. Then you can sell it and go for a new one
Since it’s a Swift- it will not lose much value when you sell it and also it’s very cheap to maintain
Go for a second hand car.
I am too planing to buy a second hand car.
First of all, congratulations 🎊 . Go for a second-hand swift it is sturdy and reliable
Go for Swift which are earlier than 2016 registered. They are good build qality
If u stay in bangalore or cities where traffic is too much i won't suggest buying a car from my own experience. U will be stuck in traffic for hours. Instead go for a two wheeler better go for Activa in traffic also u can find narrow gaps and move out. If any other city then can go for tata punch automatic it comes around 9-10 lakhs. Its build quality is the best and gives a good feeling.
Yes the feedback i got from punch owners is very good.
Go for a new hatchback...pay 30 percent down payment if you have it...could consider grandi10 or baleno or punch
Emi for 5 years can be 15k pm
Never go for 2nd car. If you go for a 2nd car your expenses on car will increase as the car won't be under warranty and you will not get b2b insurance. I totally understand you are learning to drive. But still i will suggest you to take a new one by gaining some experience in zoom car or Myles so that you can buy a new car and go for driving in night so that you will be a pro in few weeks. The normal thinking of PPL is to buy a 2nd car and learn to drive but the problem here is all companies give only 5 yrs warranty and insurance companies also give only 5yrs b2b insurance. So think about it you want to spend from your pocket after buying a 2nd car for spare parts and other expenses.
Incase if your budget is less for for maruti but keep in mind safety is the priority and maruti comes with 0/1 safety rating.
If you have around 10L budget think of buying Hyundai or Toyota.
Nexon 🧡

Are 2nd hand cars good for long travel like Jaipur to Mumbai ?
Whether it is 2nd 3rd Or 4th hand car. All car can travel from kashmir to kanyakumari easily if driven properly and maintained as per the service.
If you're still learning then i would suggest you to buy a cheap used car like santro which hardly cost around 30k 40k in Mumbai and drive that until you become pro on driving through the gaps and traffic. After that you can buy whatever car you want but suggest you to go for a hatchback. Saying this because I saw many of my knowns doing this before buying a regular car. Later they sell those cheap santro or maruti after learning or they or keep it for emergency purpose. Hope this helps🤞
Hyundai and Maruti only for a peaceful life. Avoid other brands.

Blindly go for nexon. I purchased celerioX due to low budget and now regretting.
Can you share the experience why are you regretting now
Don't get any maruti car. Go for TATA, Ford, Mahindra, Toyota, Hyundai, honda
Tata NEXON XZ+
I would suggest you to Buy a New Car. Go for Tata Punch or Tata Nexon based on your budget. They both are great. Service also good Now in Tata. As a New driver, this is a safest and reliable options. It will take only 30 days to learn driving completely. Choose Manual/AMT transmission based on convenience. Most Cars available in 2nd hand market are from Suzuki or hyundai cars which could be gone through an accident. Also 2nd hand cars are not cheap either. Brand new cars have bumper to bumper insurance which can cover free claim for even minor starches. So Choose wisely.

My scenario is also same and package also
I bought Chevrolet beat LT 2011 model in 1.2 lacs which was in every good condition
Just once I crashed it on wall but had very minor dents
If it was new car then it may affect more on me by cost and emotion wise
Using this car from last 2 years
Got very good grip on it and confidance
Because of that I drove other cars such as hatchback, suv and sedan
Now I am confident to buy new car but still I thinks that I should by second hand car within 5-7 lacs budget range
So doesn't matter how much budget you have the point is what's your need
Tata altroz or haundai i20
Instead of Nexon, you can go for Mahindra XUV 300
