My school has seen combinations of f2f, hybrid, and remote teaching/learning throughout the first half of the school year. After the MLK holiday, our district is returning to traditional f2f teaching 100%. I have 4 band classes (1 beginning, 2 intermediate, & 1 advanced), and as far as content pacing is concerned, we’re 1 9-week grading period behind. Is it a far fetched goal to get my students where they need to be by the end of the school year? How would you handle a situation like this?

My family and I have been looking to move to an island. My spouse works remote and can relocate at any time. My firm has an office on said island, but they don’t pay me enough to live there. My wife recently put in her two weeks and half the people she worked with are just ignoring her messages. They asked to work longer but bc of her new company she cant. So I’m planning on leaving my position before school starts, but the application and interview process has been slow. At this point I’m afraid I won’t find a job until late July. Should I let my school now and let them post my job as an anticipated position? I’d hate for them to have to find someone last minute, but I also want to keep that school as a fall back just in case. Unfortunately, it’s a terrible position and there has not been a lot of interest in it in the past.
