My work bestie just put in her two weeks' notice and I feel like I’m going through a genuine breakup. She’s the only person who knows exactly what I mean when I just look at her during a meeting, and the thought of surviving this unit without her is devastating. How do you guys cope when your emotional support coworker moves on to bigger and better things?

Take this as your sign to follow her out the door. Usually, when the emotional support person leaves, it’s because they finally realized the trauma-bonding wasn't worth the paycheck

Agree. I have felt this and getting ready to exit and want to bring my friends along to get them out of the mess!!

I've had coworkers leave and I was sorry to see them go. And while I missed them, it never felt close to devastating. I always remember that it's a job and people will come and go. I'm there because I need a job, and while it's nice to have coworkers who are friends, I can't let changes in their life affect me deeply.

I totally know how you feel. I recently had one of my best dental assistants put in their two weeks and it was devastating. Just know that you can still continue a personal friendship with that person outside of work if that's something you want to do.

I feel that deeply. Losing a work bestie changes everything. I try to stay in touch with them while slowly building new connections.

It really does suck. When that happened to me, work started feeling way more like work and a lot less like something I looked forward to.

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

Given short term rotation out of growth stocks, I’m confused on what to do. I think we still have some time before growth stocks bottom out, but do I sell?

I would consider myself a “long only” investor, but am unsure what to do given my lack of diversif

Many with kids live on the same street as their ex wives so they can be close to their child. I'm not comfortable dating guys like that. On the flip side there are the ones that were never married, which by this age cont

I'm currently working for a startup that has been unable to pay us for 2ish months while they are trying to secure investor funding. They said they will back pay us and (we're working much fewer hours) and they were reaching into their personal savings for months before and never took a salary. We have patients enrolled so we agreed to help for a few weeks but not for this long. I don't want to burn bridges and I am currently interviewing elsewhere but any recommendations??

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.
