Need advice from anyone with a better handle on tariff implications than I have. I have an expiring lease. Looking at BMW, AUDI, PORSCHE primarily. Have no clue if it would be a huge mistake to go with those makers with tariffs looming. Also thinking i may have missed the window before prices increase. Dealers all seem to be in holding patterns now that we’ve crossed into April. Any advice or takes are appreciated.

A lot of volatility in the market right now as everyone is in a weight and see if tariffs stick - which will cause necessary price increases. Your best bet if you have a near term need is to look for poor selling inventory that manufacturers or dealers need to move regardless. Maybe an EV for example.

It’s hard to tell who will be hurt least by impending tariffs due to current inclusion of car parts in planned tariffs, not just whole vehicles. If you are actually cost conscious, then you will switch to a cheaper brand when the time comes. Otherwise, pony up 🫡

Will be in the market for a car in a month or so - narrowed down to Mazda CX 50 Turbo but the BMW X3 is only around $5k more compared to the Mazda Turbo trim I liked. Torn between these 2, would really appreciate any advice/insight in making this decision in regards to longterm ownership, rate of depreciation and maintenance.
