That is not a very low salary if you have no working experience as you say. Also, why would they give you time to apply to other jobs? They hired you to work at their company. If you really want a better salary, dive in head first at this company who gave you an opportunity (among all the other candidates out there), do your best, learn as much as you can and use that to move up in the company or find something else 1, 2, 3 years later. You're not owed anything and if you take that attitude you'll struggle in any company that hires you.
PM jobs can be very high paying, but it will almost always rely on your years of experience. I think without prior experience the salary your mentioned is relatively fair. Other factors like the market and industry you’re in will impact this as well. While an MS is a great accomplishment, experience will always play a bigger factor than your degree or certifications. You will need to navigate different types of projects and industries in order to understand where your strengths fall and ultimately where you want to continue progression your career in project management.
A PMs best traits are people/soft skills…things you don’t learn in a Masters or PMP program. You need experience working with others. That’s where you will gain value.
No experience = lower pay. Unlike careers that require specialized degrees, ie engineering, a degree means almost nothing. I've been an agency PM for 15 years, bachelor's degree, no certifications and at $180k/yr.
Why would you expect your employer to give you time to look for another position? You want to find another job, take PTO to do interviews and use the weekend to research new jobs.

They are based on experience. I’ve encountered pms with less experience and they have a PMP. The salary was actually lower than those who have more experience & don’t have one. Unfortunately, in the pandemic allot of ppl went back to school or back to bootcamps. This has also lowered the pay scale. Due to all the layoffs. I agree gain experience at least 2-3 years in a role. Depending on what field you’re in. Good luck 🍀
Pharma advertising PMs earn more than those in regular advertising but I think construction PMs make even more than that. I’d echo the other posts and say if you can’t find opportunities within your job to grow your skills and experience, you need to do stuff outside of work to learn/get credentials. But if you just started with zero experience, I think your best bet is to gain even just 1-2y experience and then you can leverage that for something better. To be honest, with zero experience you’re lucky someone hired you at all.
