So to understand - you’ll be leaving the company same day as the impacted people.
they will get severance while you will only be eligible to get the salary of the remaining notice period you had left + regular gratuity etc.
Sounds good no ?
Got a confirmation from HR today. Last LWD has been preponed for me from June last week to May 29th. Will get payment till original LWD but in relieving letter LWD will be may 29th. This is not optional. This call came as an information.
Got a confirmation email from workday about last working day being 29th May. Got separation emails again. So it's official. 29th may as LWD
Pro
They did this exercise in Dec 2025 also. Lot of notice periods were reduced. It is a win-win as long as you get paid for the 2 months. You can take a well deserved break or join early in the next company.
I am unable to see that my resignation is submitted and approved no longer in workers info under job in workday
Any idea on this ?
I can see my resignation task in archive but approved one is missing
They will show you as laid off/Rebadged employee. So they can say to Dan that they have already completed their quota of reducing headcount
It will be june 22
Same with me. LWD was June 27. Asked to leave early by 29th May.
I'll get the compensation till jun 27th right?
But when i asked manager he said it would be may 29
Compensation? When communicated initially, my manager told mostly i'll be getting the salary till jun 27th
Any idea on what will be the LWD on relieving letter?
Even i have the same doubt…I requested my manager that date has to be may 29
Just wondering, what sort of companies do people jump to after a company like Verizon ? I am a fresher who joined just recently and most likely would only plan jumping next year. Wanted to know what companies are in my range and what companies would not be a good choice after Verizon considering brand value and resume strength
Which org/bu is this happening in?
