I’m trying to transfer departments at my company and I talked to the MD of the department i wanna transfer to, and told him working remotely is a requirement to me, and he said he’s not sure if that’s possible, and that would depend on HR and the hiring manager. He still forwarded my resume to HR and I got an interview. How should I negotiate to make the role fully remote?

I have 1 year old kid and wanted wfh option. So I declined all other offers(TCS, infosys, wipro, bofa) with good package and accepted IBM. Looks like ibm calls its employee to office. Can I do Permanent wfh in ibm for Mainframe. IBM Hr said he can't confirm on that. Joining date is Mar 1.

Our previously in-person company hired a bunch of people in fully remote positions, but started doing hybrid/in-person for those close to the office. Do you feel like this would greatly disadvantage those fully remote since the others get face time with their bosses, etc? What’s your experience?

I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I stood up and asked to be included on available dates and said I will attend virtually but asking me to be away for 4 additional full days away from my family without asking me is not OK. I already travel a lot and this boundary is super important to me. Am I right or wrong?

I am an IT manager at a small manufacturing company that is in the commercial aerospace and DOD manufacturing space. Employees were in fear of job lost, and maximum IT organization's took benefit of this fear, now they are only facing maximum offer rejections.
