McKinsey & Company Not sure how relevant this is but just want another perspective: my McKinsey & Company final round was called off because a meeting with the immigration specialist unearthed complications with supporting my visa (F-1 expiring, H1-B not a guarantee)

This would be a big life decision, but you can always apply to MBB (considering you got pretty far in the process) in another geography. M has a global rotation program after a few years of tenure, so you have a shot at going back to US but it's not something you can really plan around.
I guess it comes down to how important staying in the US is to you
It is not a McKinsey/employer issue. You do need to solve it at your own level. You could look into another degree to get an OPT and more chances at H-1B. At the end of the day, you may need to consider other options. Can your current company move you to another country for a year so that you can come back on L1?
Yeah, McK will take you even if you have just 1 year of OPT. But you need to have it, there is absolutely nothing they can do if you don’t. Alternatively you can apply for McK abroad
The problem is they not have targets for your role outside of the US. Do try though and don’t give up
Woops - *may not
Bcg will send you to another location for 1 year and bring you back asap on an l-1
