Offers are becoming harder to compare because compensation packages are getting ridiculous. Base salary, bonus, equity, sign-on, retention bonus, pension, allowances. How am I meant to compare 2 offers with so many variables???

Very carefully?

At the end of the day, you need to decide what’s worth it and what isn’t.

But if you have multiple offers, you could always feed an AI engine and ask it to compare and contrast for you

like

That’s why I’d ask it to compare and contrast. Don’t ask for an opinion of which is better, just help you organize the data in a way that makes it easier to digest.

smart

Definitely carefully but don't be afraid to ask questions of the package is confusing.

Yes. I think I might reach out to ask. I just don't want to be annoying

As per current industry standard what we should expect Salary as full stack developer with 7 plus years?

Hi Fishes,
I have completed with my 2nd round of interview in Bain (BCN group,), healthcare Associate position. Wanted to ask about WLB, average annual hike %, career advancement opportunities (higher education funding), trips and off sites. Any insights would be great

Hey all! I went through the interviewing process with a company and we had a verbal agreement on X amount of salary per year. They liked me and extended an offer but the offer was for $15K less than what we agreed bc that’s what HR approved for. I was desperate so I took it. Accepting this offer meant that I had to relocate to the other side of the country. Omw that was 2500 miles, I received a call that they rescinded the offer. Is there anything legal that I can do to sue them?

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Anyone here made the move from a boutique ECVC firm to in house at a VC? My Y1/Y2 background was V20 ECVC hard hitting firm in the Bay, and now I’m at a large boutique with a strong rep in this field in So Cal. I don’t want to make partner, so I’m exploring what options there may be to go in house with an ECVC background. Any insight on responsibilities, W/L balance, leadership, etc in these in house roles?

1st Job - 90k…. Is this a good salary? Late to the game at 34. Don’t even know anything about personal finance. Basically feeling like an 18 year old over here with no knowledge of how to run my own life. Having to start over after long term controlling relationship where I was left out of all the finance stuff. So I’m lost TBH. Engineering makes sense, managing my money not so much.

I am a Google Certified Professional Data Engineer.

Should I be earning more?

Would I earn more long term if I stayed on as Service Manager?
