Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech

I've heard that ZS has a pretty toxic culture. Be careful
Haven’t experienced this myself either. From what I hear it’s actually the culture people love!
Could you be more specific - what work stream are you looking in.
ZS has multiple work stream - business technology, operations, consulting, architecture, decision science
I general, average time to promote from Associate to Associate consultant is 2.5 to 3.5 years, same for AC to C and C to Manager. If you are smart it can happen in 2-2.5 years.
Consultant base salary in general is around 135-145k. Manager is ~25k more.
Post that it’s partner which is base plus commission on projects sold. You earn more if you sell more projects.
Newly hired C. $155k base before benefits. No concerns about the culture so far, the onboarding support is thinner than I was expecting but the people are great.
Yep
PM1 is generally correct, but on the lower end for salary.
Mba hires come in at 150. We don’t have Sr Con. so the next step is manager and that’s around 170-175.
ZS3 - I bet you are 1.5-2 year AC.
I was a ZSer for 5 years till I reached C level.
A to AC is a significant hike. AC to C is not that much.
Also if you are from Princeton office with max folks residing in lawrence township the average salary of a consultant ranges from 135k to 150k.
For MBA hires - yes I agree it can be 155k.. but as I said it depends on your school and experience.
PM1, it's not commission for partners. It's profit sharing based on your long term contributions to the firm. So it may be linked to revenue earned, but for many its leadership positions and thought leadership.
ZS has brutal US reviews on GlassDoor. Would avoid unless desperate for job.
Being 5 years at ZS and recently moving to a different company - I agree.
Work life balance is a mess - specifically in Business technology side.
Consulting side is pretty stable. So really depends on where you plan to join.
Thanks all! Not looking at ZS for an exit opp, just using it to benchmark where I should be at my boutique firm. Their consulting work stream is the best comparator.
I assume geography plays a role too, any thoughts on Bay Area MBA hire salary vs organic promotion to Consultant? Assume an M7 school
