I worked at a smaller consulting firm about 12yrs ago. And the partner I was supporting had my dream business job. He would be in meetings from 7:30am until 6pm, with an hr for lunch. Also he turned off his blackberry at 6pm to spend time with his kids And all of the content was done by me and all he did was go to meetings and tell people his opinion. Never did one slide or worked in one excel file. I need a job like that. Lol

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

When should a stub start getting worried about not having much work and low billable hours?

Lateral that just went through first bonus season with the firm. Not in a major market but workload is comparable to major markets. Surprised at how low the bonus was. What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?
