I’m lucky— I’m in office 5 days a week but I can still go to the gym during my lunch if desired, and I usually take my lunch whenever I can fit it between meetings and lab work.
That being said, I’d accept a WFH position for the same pay 100% of the time. A pay cut? Perhaps not.
Wow that’s nice! I wouldn’t want a pay cut either in this economy
I’m sure I’d be tempted, but not so sure I would take a pay cut. Of course, my commute isn’t that bad either.
Yea it’s hard to make less money
Quality of life is more valuable to me but it depends how much of a pay increase there is, and what my financial needs are
Depends on how much more pay. 10%, 20%? For me personally I value quality of life vs. more pay. Also consider if you WFH mostly, there is a significant savings in fuel, wear and tear on your vehicle, commuting expenses etc.
I could work remote for a reasonable pay and for less than 5 days per week. I realized that the quality of life includes may little things like clean toilets and a big thing of having time for me, since time does not come back.
A paycut is a no-no, unless one is moving from freelance (per hour rate vs monthly salary) am fully homebased, the latter recently applied to me, and I am not going back to the office without a proper raise😅, WFH is a new "work-life-balance"...
