What makes you think they want a wedding and not a marriage? I’ll say for me, I was moving up and did not want to be pulled down by anyone so marriage was not even on my radar. It only happened because I found a like minded career person. I was traveling weekly so kids were also not on my radar because I felt it would have restricted my ability to get up and go when needed. When you get with a successful woman, you can’t all of a sudden dismiss the mindset that got her there. She’s not going to necessarily want to settle with someone that is looking for a housewife. Our careers are just as important so you need to find someone on the same page with what you are looking for. I can’t even tell you how many men I dated that simply couldn’t get past me working so much and it was really because they wanted someone home by 5 to have dinner on the table by 6. That ain’t me.
It’s not balanced lol. I just got tired.
I feel the exact opposite. I’m a smart successful black woman and at 28, I would love to settle down, get married and have kids! Just have not found a man who wants the same.

Also, honestly, I will not stand to be with a housewife cause I find women in suits more sexier. I like my woman to wake up in the morning and go to work and being good at what they do. But it’s just I feel like the women I meet are rushing for mariage or relationship without really making the time, planning, or realizing the commitment that comes with it
So you wouldn’t date a successful woman who works in IT from home amd doesn’t wear suits? That’s all I could see reading your posts. I would say, don’t limit yourselves.
But wanting weeding and not mariage I mean when you are too career oriented you see the weeding like another project to accomplish in your life without understanding what comes with it (like you can argue but not specifically divorce because of that, etc). People only the see the big ring and the party that come with (or the status) but no willing the become life the couple life (like when there is a decision social or professional to take, you cannot just decided to only do what suits you. You need to find with solution will be better for your couple and mariage ).....
You are just talking about maturity...
