This candidate just so happens to be Asian. A week after I submitted my feedback - heard back from the hiring committee that the packet was rejected and asked me to re-interview an URM candidate who has the lowest average interview score on my list. Now I have to restart the whole process for D&I😞

Quite quitting is not a bad thing.
On the other hand, it eliminates the useless nepotism, favouritism and riding on the backs of just showmanship and the perception of doing more than you are meant to do.
It provides a equal playing field without the vagueness of perception based performance. Just because someone puts in 18hours of work and sacrifices their physical and mental health, personal time and family time does not mean it's a win-win situation..
