Opinions on being on Expert Consulting Vs CTD paths?

Anybody work in-house in adult entertainment? Not interested professionally, but genuinely curious what that work experience is like, or how you transition between roles and companies.

Having thoughts about leaving Tax for a smaller Co that specializes in SALT credits and incentives... but could this limit me down the road experience wise if I decided to leave there? I have a diverse experience now, but I don’t want to be looked at as only SALT later.

Has anyone made the switch from public accounting to a tax role at private equity firm?

My options are 1) wait it out where I am in hopes to switch to L&E or 2) in house oil and gas industry transactional work. What would you do and why? I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. I work at a small firm with not that many workable templates so I usually have to do everything from scratch like drafting motions, pleadings, and researching all potential counts every time. Do bigger firms have better and more templates that allow you to have to do less research?
