EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY

Crazy thought - speak to your supervisor so that you are on the same page. It shows initiative. Good luck!
Best practice when rolling off is to prepare a breakdown of the open items on your plate. Set up time with the senior to discuss these open items and get on the same page as to whether they expect you to follow up for the required support and finish those up, or if other team members will be picking up where you left off. As an A1, they may just have another team member finish up but as you progress, you will find that you are expected to finish things up, even if the support is not there by the time you start your next engagement
Communicate you don’t have bandwidth to complete the open items and cc both your manager on old and main client so that they can deal with it
