Sure it was sloppy, yes, but did you save MONEY?

No we did not because we have to go round n’ round the merry go round to get it unslopped. 😒
It’s cheaper just to hire a us team. You pay the overseas guys $3/hr and then the agency $3000/hr to tell them it is wrong. You end up spending more.

Have you tried opening up where the feedback is located and walk them through each item. Not for every round but just to see where it’s getting lost. I remember one time getting annoyed at a junior who wouldn’t make the updates but found out she didn’t know how to access the comments and went off of notes.

This happens on all the jobs they work on. It’s as if they don’t understand english or try to stretch their hours by going more rounds.
So painful. I suggest setting up a call where the developers or designers are actually on the phone with you to go through the comments. Ideally, you also have the client on so they can see the issue for themselves.
What I learned was happening was that someone was taking our route in english and translating each comment to spanish in a pdf, so any attachements and drawn markups were getting lost. Once I was able to show them all the work I did to make things clear, it seemed to get a little better…basically they stopped blowing off my direction

Yes and we spend so much extra time coaching and managing them to get stuff to an OK place. I can’t see how it’s worth the offshore savings.
